Our public spaces come alive with people. Human life animates a built environment of hard surfaces and smooth finishes. Interpreting, adapting, reusing our built form, how individuals animate space expands the relevance of our architecture. The event will contrast a portion of William Whyte’s 1980 classic, The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces, with My playground, a film about movement and urban space through the eyes of Danish architect Bjarke Ingels (BIG Architects) and practitioners of parkour.
Join us as alleys, sidewalks and parks unite.
