K. Jake Chakasim bio continued…

Chakasim’s architectural installation series, Integrated Opposition, creates space for conversation on identity and reconciliation. He was a contributing artist to the exhibition 41° to 66° Architecture in Canada: Region, Culture and Tectonics at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2008. He was part of the design team of Indigenous architects and designers for UNCEDED: Voices of the Land at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale. His recent installation, Wapimisow: Trickster Builds A Nest for the End of the World, was exhibited in a group show at the Art Gallery of Alberta exploring future while navigating tumultuous times.
