Viewing design through a lens of social equity and anti-racism, how can design be used as a conduit to bring community TOGETHER?

Contemporary Confetti

d.talks, with support from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation, engaged and commissioned Endemic Architecture to create a site-specific installation on the front plaza of the Contemporary Calgary building inspired by their Confetti Urbanism design work in the United States.

When thinking about private vs public spaces we wanted to imagine a way to bring people into the gallery and facilitate community engagement and activation of the plaza. As a lead up to our conversation “Let’s Talk About… Wanderlust” we wanted to show the power placemaking and public art has to bring community closer. We invite you to enjoy this temporary installation for as long as the weather allows it to remain!
